Walker Monthly Update: Month Six

I can not believe how fast Walker is growing up. To me it is crazy to think that I gave birth to this sweet little boy just 6 months ago. He is the most amazing thing in my life and I could not be more happy. So much has happened this past 6 months, that it seems like it wasn't just 6 months ago that Walker came to join Casey and I. It is just mind-boggling.

His 6 month doctor went great this month. He loves going to the doctors until it comes to the end of the appointment and he has to get his shots. He always is so happy to see the doctor and she makes him laugh. I love our doctor too. She seems really real and understands how life really is with a little guy around. His stats are great, she said that he is tall but still good.

     Weight: 15 lbs 14 oz / 50 percentile
     Height: 26.5 inches / 80 percentile
     Head: 43.5 cm

Sitting in his chair. Sitting up and catching himself when he gets off balance.
Playing with his feet. Playing with the mirror. Walker and Casey
This month Walker has found out that he can do much more than just roll around on the floor and play in his bouncer. He is now talking away and laughing while you play with him. Even when you aren't playing with him he is just making sweet sounds. He is also now figuring out how "army crawling" all over. He still loves eating veggies but this month we started to give him fruits and oh boy he sure does love them.

I stopped breast feeding him this month. It has been super hot during the day that I only breast feed him at night when he wakes up. But now that we have started 'sleep training' him, I not don't breast feed him. It is nice to be able to sleep through the night but I do miss having that bonding time with him. I also believe that Walker is getting a tooth. It should be coming in soon but who knows. He is totally acting like his is teething one day and the next its like nothing is going on.

Walker loves to grab. He is grabs about everything he can get his hands on and then try to put it in his mouth. He is sure a little boy and I absolutely love it! We have started to read him book and he is more interested in putting the books in his mouth than the actual story.

He is sure growing up right before my eyes and I can't believe it. I am so happy about how he is growing up but at the same time it is sad because before I know it he won't be my little baby boy, he will be my big boy. He is the love of my life and I don't know what my life would be without him! :]
