The Story.

So here is the story of Casey and I.

Casey and I first met when we started to go to LDS Business College. I was fresh out of high school and wanting to explore the world out of the bay area while Casey was fresh off his mission from Paris, France. We became very good friends before we noticed that we had feelings for each other that were more than just friendly. We started to like each other and it grew more and more once we started to hang out with one another every chance we got. We decided that we wanted to be more than just friends, so we were a couple!

We then dated for about 4 months. While through that short 4 months of dating, a great love of each other grew between us. We noticed this when we were traveling home from winter break to go to southern California to meet up with our families. We wanted to get to southern California before or soon after night fall so we decided that we should leave early in the morning (4AM) to get there by then. We started our adventure to California. While Casey was sleeping in the drivers seat as I was sleeping in the passenger seat, we didn't make it to far. As you can guess, the car doesn't drive by itself. While driving near Beaver, UT, Casey feel asleep at the wheel, which ended up causing an accident. We rolled and skidded for about 100 yards ending up upside down on the side of the freeway. Thankfully, no one got hurt, except for a couple of bruises, cut of pinky, a scratch or two, and a totaled car. While waiting for someone to pick us up at the junkyard, we both realized that we didn't know what we would do without each other and hope we don't have to live without one another.

We got back to California safely and to our families with thankfulness upon our lips and in our hearts to Heavenly Father to keeping us safe. We then spend the holidays with our families, until Casey came to Livermore, CA to visit me on Christmas day! I then went back to San Diego with him and spent New Year's with him and his family. During this time Casey and I knew that we wanted to be together for our whole lives. We started to talk a little about marriage. I kept on saying that I was only 18 years old and I was too young to get married. But we both knew we were going to get married to each other because we loved each other soo much and we couldn't picture us with anyone else.

We started school again in January at LDS Business College in Salt Lake City. We spend every moment with each other that we could. The more time we spent together I couldn't stop myself from wanting to get married to Casey, and Casey felt the same. I knew the proposal was coming, I just did not know when. On January 30 2010, Casey took me on a very nice date. We went to The Cheesecake Factory, then to temple square for a walk (which we did often). Before and during this whole date with Casey I thought he was going to pop the question and I was just so nervous that I just wanted him to ask me anywhere! We went to Temple Square and walked around then back to his house to watch a movie. On the way back to his house, I was bummed. I was expecting him to ask me the BIG question and it still didn't happen. He then took me back to my apartment so I could sleep.

January 31 2010- The day started out to be bad day because I was still bummed that Casey didn't ask me to marry him last night. I started to get ready for church when my roommate told me I should get all cute for the day. I was confused and didn't want to get all pretty because I just wanted to go back to bed, I felt like my heart was broken! But NOOO... she insisted on me getting all cute and pretty for church. (bytheway: Casey wasn't even in my ward so I was also thinking why should I get cute for guys that I did not even want to be with!) I went to church looking all cute and whatnot. Then we had a break-the-fast after RS. During this time, My friends decided that we should all go up to the capital building to take some pictures since it was a great day. We went to the capital and we took one picture then Casey popped up.The rest went something like this..

"Joy!" Casey yelled
"Casey?! What are you doing here?!" I yelled back.
"Just come here!"
I then went over her and asked again. "What are you here for?"
With a huge smile on his face he then said "Just because" He then started to say something again while getting down on his knee.. it went something like this.. "Joy, I love you so much and I can't picture myself with anyone else. I want to be with you forever! Joy Nicole Theobald, Will you MARRY ME?"
I then had a huge smile on my face with butterflies in my tummy and replied "YEAHHHHH!!!"

Casey and I got married on June 12 2010 in the San Diego Temple. It was a beautiful and amazing day! We could not ask for a better day and a better family to be with!

Casey and I lived with my sister for the summer in Bear Lake working as lifeguards and cleaners and swim teachers and whatnot. We then moved back to Salt Lake for school. We are now back in school and happily married! We have a Kitten named Apollo/Menace. We are looking forward to our life's together and our adventures we are going to have.!
