The Past Week.

This past week has been crazy. Both Casey and I have been busy with working. I am starting to get trained in the copy and print center at staples and Casey is getting more hours at Inkley's. We both are very grateful for the job that we have and the opportunity that we have the chance to be working. We are so lucky to have jobs.

This past week my sister came into Salt Lake to have her baby. It has been great having the chance to be with her and spend time with her family. Wednesday she came over to visit. We spent a couple hours just talking and watching Tavis play the wii. Friday after I got off work we were able to go to the park and take some pictures of her kids. She has been wanting to have this done for a while and we took the opportunity to build up Casey's portfolio. Jessica had her baby Monday early morning. Tavis and Krya stayed with us while she was in the hospital. That was an adventure. I love those kiddos. Her newborn son is just to die for. His name is Terrek Dean Ward, Love it! He is just a tiny cute little thing. It was great being able to see Tavis and Krya meet Terrek for the first time. It was precious. My mom was able to come up monday night. We spent tuesday morning together with Jessica and her family. Before I had to go to work I was able to spend some time with my mom, which was defiantly needed.

As well as working and taking pictures of Jessica's kids on friday, we were able to spend some time with my brother Alex. It is great having him and Casey be able to get to know each other more and become friends. We had Lemon Chicken, which turned out great (I will post about that later) and some home made ice cream that casey made while I was at work. That also turned out so amazing that Casey and I made some more on sunday because we loved it.! That night we made a spontaneous trip to the movie theater to see Thor. It was actually a good movie. I was surprised that I actually like it and wouldn't mind seeing it again but that will be when Casey and I buy it when it comes out or rent it from netflix.

Sunday: Mother's Day. It was great! Casey got me the movie 'Letters to Juliet' which I have been wanting to get but haven't been able to find it on blue-ray at Target or Walmart. We were able to talk to our mother's and tell them how much we appreciate them for everything they have done for us. We had crepes from breakfast which was amazing. I have been wanting to have crepes from a while and we just haven't had the chance to make them. That night Casey and I went over to where Jessica and her family were staying. We spent some time with them before they went to the hospital to see if she was ready to have baby Terrek. Little did we know that we were going to be taking her kids home that night. We brought Tavis and Krya to our house and they spent the next couple nights at our apartment. It was a great Mother's day!

It has been great being able to spend some time with my family. It was much needed. I miss them so much. I wish that Casey and I were able to live close to all of our families. The time will come when we are able to live close to everyone or most of everyone. This past week has been filled with adventure, excitement, family, and stress but I would not trade it in for anything else. Hopefully that the next couples weeks are great as well.
